The Red & Blue Brasilian Finch and Flying Squirrel by George Edwards, 1750.
The print by the very famous George Edwards comes from his work
entitled "A Natural History of Uncommon Birds & Gleanings of
Natural History" published in London between the years 1747 and 1764.
This print is a hand-coloured, copper-plate engraving on fine,
watermarked, chain-linked paper. Edwards' prints are incredible in
detail, beauty, size, and colour. They are among the finest prints on
natural history ever created.

This is a single-sided copperplate engraving by S. Edwards, 1810.
There are titles at the bottom of the page identifying each type of
animal depicted. The flying animal in the middle of the page is a
Taguan or Sailing Squirrel. Beginning in the top left corner and
proceeding clockwise, the other animals are: Variegated Marmot,
Canadian Marmot, Common Dormouse, Barbary Squirrel, Common Squirrel.
