1846 Print by Bromme
Entitled "Inhabitants and plants of the cold area of eternal snow and
transition to the moderate areas of Northern America, like Greenland,
Labrador, Canada, New Foundland" by Traugott Bromme.
Traugott Bromme was born 1802 in Anger near Leipzig. From 1820 he lived
some years in the United States and travelled Middle and South America.
After his return to Germany he became a publisher and wrote several
books about nature ('Systematischer Atlas der Naturgeschichte fuer Haus
und Schule'), his journeys through America and related issues like how
to emigrate to the US ('Hand and Travel Book For Emigrants'). Bromme
died in December 1865.
